This is my "author photo" for the book jackets and other places. I had heard that once a woman becomes an author, she automatically poses for every picture with her chin resting on her hand. Apparently, it's an irresistible impulse. I've found this to be true and, frankly, it's a little annoying.

About Cathy...
Cathy Hamilton is still milking her fifteen minutes of fame as the creator of Boyfriend in-a-Box, a novelty gift product that landed her on the Today show, in People magazine, and as "Cathy Hamilton #3" on the "To Tell the Truth" show.
Lately, Cathy has focused her spare time and attention on writing, one of her first loves, thanks to the nuns of St. Ann School in Prairie Village, Kansas, who encouraged her creativity inbetween bouts of corporal punishment. She writes on the subjects of dysfunction, sex, dieting, girlfriends, and guerilla parenting. You know what they say, "Write what you know!"
In her 8 to 5 life, Cathy is the Director of BoomerGirl Multimedia for The World Company in Lawrence, Kansas, and the managing editor of BoomerGirl.com. She writes a weekly column called "Boomer Girl Diary" for the Lawrence Journal-World every Sunday.
Cathy lives with her husband and the occasional boomerang kid in Lawrence and, when she is not working or writing, actively pursues doing absolutely nothing.
